A Case Report of Cold Hemagglutinin Disease

Abstract

|
A case with cold hemagglutinin disease was reported. The patient was 52 year old
female and was admitted to SNUH due to dark violet colored urine after cold exposure
since ‘74 winter. She felt pallor, numbness followed by cyanosis on both extrmities and
face especially cold exposed parts. They were relieved in summer or warm
enviromment. Cold hemagglutinin disease was confirmed by serum
immunoelectrophoresis and by demonstration of elevated cold hemagglutinin titer under
the artificially made cold environment such as ice water pool or airconditioned cold
room.
